I’m Greg Hay — a technology and cybersecurity professional based in Durban, South Africa.

I’ve spent more than two decades working in enterprise IT, leading teams, driving strategy, and building systems that have to actually work. My experience spans cloud architecture, network infrastructure, cybersecurity, ERP systems, and large-scale digital transformation programmes. I’ve led IT operations across thousands of sites and managed technology strategy for some of Southern Africa’s largest organisations.

In 2022 I completed an MBA at Edinburgh Business School (Heriot-Watt University). In 2024–2025 I completed an MSc in Cybersecurity: Executive Leadership in Information Assurance at EC-Council University. I hold certifications including MCSE, CCNA, CEH, CompTIA PenTest+, and Microsoft Azure. I’m currently completing a Doctor of Business Administration (DBA).

Beyond the professional credentials, I’ve served as a church elder for many years — a role I take seriously. Leadership in a community context teaches you things that no MBA programme covers: how to listen, how to handle conflict, how to serve people who trust you. That shapes how I work with clients.

I’m a family man. My wife Michelle and I run Hayshack Enterprises together. Our daughter Hope is eight and already has strong opinions about technology budgets.
